Zig Ziglar once said, “The only thing worse than training employees and losing them is not training them and keeping them.”
Many of you might have already graduated through the Professional Speakers Academy (PSA), or you might know it as the Professional Development Series (PDS). Irrespective of the name, we believe that we have an excellent program which can help you to build a profitable business. As part of the Global Speakers Federation (GSF), we have been networking with our peers across the world to find out what the best practises are.
Did you know that in Germany, the German Speakers Association (GSA) have formalised their PSA and created a University Degree that you can study? In America, they have focussed on the 4 x E’s — Eloquence, Expertise, Enterprise and Ethics. In South Africa, they have created a system that is being adopted in other geographies such as Singapore and Malaysia.
As we evaluate what is available through the GSF and we compare it to our current offering, there is a project that we want to focus on during the 2015-2016 term. In a nutshell, we believe that the timing is right for us to expand and formalise our PSA and how it is delivered throughout NZ. This is an important project that our President has identified in the Top 5 initiatives.
We are pleased to announce that Linda Guirey has agreed to come on board and take on this project.
Whilst more details will be released shortly, here are a few highlights of what the new PSA will deliver:
We will look at the shape and structure of the PSA to identify the best methodology to deliver it. At the first level, we expect to still have a two day immersion course, followed by a series of more in-depth workshops that will deep-dive into the knowledge required to round off your education.
Keep tabs on this page to see what new developments happen with the PSA.
